A tradition reaching 163 years, Norwood Young America’s Stiftungsfest is proud to be Minnesota’s Oldest Celebration. Since its beginning in 1861 by a German singing society, the festival has upheld the community’s rich heritage, offering a unique experience surrounding food, fun, and fellowship. It serves as a cherished occasion where individuals gather annually and embrace the shared spirit of our small town’s time-honored traditions. 

Get ready for four days of non-stop fun at Stiftungsfest, where there’s something for everyone! Join us for thrilling events like the softball tournament, car show, firefighter’s challenge, Bingo, and paintball. Test your skills in a care tournament, have a blast at the fun run, and explore the craft show for unique treasures. Challenge your mind with the puzzle competition, or prove your strength in the Stein holding contest. With a jam-packed schedule of exciting activities, Stiftungsfest guarantees an unforgettable experience for all!

Volunteerism lies at the heart of Stiftungsfest. Through our volunteers’ unwavering dedication and generosity, we can create an extraordinary experience. As you immerse yourself in the festivities, you’ll witness firsthand the collective effort that brings this event to life.

Stiftungsfest is proud to donate all proceeds to our local fire department. The funds will be used to acquire essential equipment that aids their selfless dedication to serving our community. 

Furthermore, our festival is all about delicious food and great times. You can’t miss the famous Stiftungsfest hamburger, a crowd favorite with its secret seasoning recipe that’s been passed down for generations. Trust us: one bite, and you’ll be hooked! And after you’ve had your fill of burgers, explore the festival grounds and see what our amazing food vendors have cooked up!
